Chinese-Foreign Collaborative Education in HUHST Moves to New Stage

The delegation of Bath Spa University, U.K.—one of the partner universities of HUHST—led by Katherine Mckenzie came for a visit between 22 to 25 November, and were welcomed by President Guo Jun and Vice-president Chen Zhiguo in No. 1 Meeting Room in the library. Directors of Office of the Presidents, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Department of Publicity, Department of Security, and dean of School of Education attended the meeting.

President Guo made an introduction to the university and its achievement in education, research and international collaboration and exchange. KatherineMckenzie then introduced Bath Spa University, and expressed her appreciation of the hospitality and the hope to extend collaborative areas and to share educational resources and results between HUHST and Bath Spa.

During the meeting, the two universities had a profound discussion about the detailed issues on the franchised collaborative-education program in preschool education, including admission, teaching syllabus for teachers from Bath Spa, course evaluation, discipline and subject construction, etc., and negotiated some expected collaborative issues (such as postgraduate study) and approaches to cooperation. Original consensus was reached. The delegation then visited School of Education and its enterprise-university collaborative education bases, and had a casual talk with some faculty members and students.

The visit of the Bath Spa delegation was a sort of substantive coordination between the two universities of the collaborative education program, which promoted the collaboration between HUHST and Bath Spa and intensified their partnership.
