On the morning of September 12,2016, the commencement ceremonywas held in the gymnasium. More than 4100 freshmen of all junior college students,undergraduatesand postgraduates of grade 2016 participated in the opening ceremony.School leaders, relevant personnel of other offices, directors of all departments and all student counselors attended the meeting. Liu Tiefeng, vice president of our university,chaired the meeting.

On behalf of freshmen, Wang Xiaoqing, who is from the Department of Information, addressed a speech, in which sheappealed all the freshmen to be ambitious, industrious and courageous, to cherish the time from the beginning, to cultivate noble characters, to spend the meaningful university days , to be passionate for bright youth.

Yuan Yuming, a postgraduate student of grade 2016 from the Department of Agriculture and Biotechnology, gave a speech one behalf of postgraduates. He said, we assembled together in our university because of our passion for knowledge, let us do not forget ourreal intention, shoulder the historical responsibility, and strive to make China more prosperous and powerful and beautiful.

Liang Juanhua, who is from the Department of Music and Dance, made a speech on behalf of former students. She stated the principle of heart built environment, and students would be outstanding when they regard the common college as a prestigious university. Students should defeat and superego themselves unceasingly to pursue ideals, to become mature and intellectual.

Li Xuefen, a teacher from the Department of Economics and Management, spoke on behalf of the whole school. She encouragedthe freshmen to be active, open and inclusive, warm and friendly, deliberate and calm, and to creative their own colorful life in the university.

During the ceremony, outstanding undergraduates and postgraduates were awarded scholarships.

The president, Liu Heyun, delivered a warm speech. He said that all the staffwere trying to create a good environment for students to live and study. He described his hope for students to be maturing well and become responsible. to aim high, to make a good life plan, to pursue excellence, to cultivate integrity, conscience and quality, to learn how to live and study, to use the prehistoric powers to achieve comprehensive development.
